A tiny boutique hotel with gigantic views on 12 peaceful acres in the heart of the Green Mountains of Vermont.
VIEWS THAT GO ON FOREVER
Step outside the unique modern building onto the individual patios and take in the sweeping, panoramic vistas from Mount Mansfield south to Camel's Hump.
Lounge on the grassy hill, warm your feet by the fire pit, gaze at the vast starry sky, or curl up with a book in your room after a day hiking the Long Trail, mountain biking, exploring the nearby breweries and wineries, or visiting the local farmers' market.
Uniquely located between the Champlain Valley and the mountains, Wonderhill is the ideal launching point to explore Vermont!
Our “Breakfast-Basket” approach features unique, locally sourced, and homemade delicious morning goodness delivered directly to your doorstep or private patio table.
RELAX AND SLEEP IN ECO-CHIC LUXURY
Enjoy a glass of wine on your private patio, taking in the breathtaking sweeping views, the wildflowers, the evening alpenglow, and the chorus of songbirds and seasonal peepers.
Our tiny boutique hotel features three well-appointed en suite bedrooms with modern décor in a European aesthetic. Each room has a private entrance, a back patio overlooking the fields and rolling mountains, and a spacious en suite bathroom stocked with an organic, custom blend of shampoos and soaps by Burlington-based Lunaroma.
All rooms feature unique artwork from around the globe (including Vermont), goose-down duvets and pillows, and beds that are a dream to sleep in. Two of our rooms feature unique block-print murals by Burlington artist Beenanza Design.
Each suite is thoughtfully outfitted with amenities such as a hair dryer, a mini-fridge, a Nespresso machine, an electric kettle, and an assortment of teas and coffees.
ALWAYS FRESH, LOCAL, AND ORGANIC
Our “à la carte” approach to the B&B experience will offer you plenty of delicious options for your visit while leaning into our "low waste" sustainability policy.
Your “breakfast basket” will be delivered each morning featuring a seasonal variety of additional treats, including homemade bread and pastries, fruit from the garden, locally sourced honey, eggs and maple syrup, and a family favorite classic Vermont breakfast sandwich.
Vegan? Gluten-free? No problem! Let us know beforehand, and we will discuss the best way to accommodate your needs.
BREATHE, EXPLORE, MEDITATE, AND MORE
Whether you are coming to the area for business or pleasure, to experience an unforgettable romantic weekend, to disconnect from everyday life, to do plein air painting, to visit friends or relatives, to visit your college student, tour the area’s sights, or attend a wedding in Vermont, we warmly invite you to enjoy our peaceful little corner of the world.
Everything Vermont has to offer is close by, and we have tons of great recommendations for every possible activity. We're conveniently located between Burlington and Stowe and minutes away from Underhill State Park and the hiking trails of Mount Mansfield. A perfect location to begin a bike tour or launch a backcountry skiing adventure!
Or, you could simply take in the magical views from the backyard with an espresso. Nestled on 12 acres of private land, you’ll be surrounded by tranquil woods in a bucolic landscape with wildflower meadows full of trails to explore, pollinator gardens, and restful sit spots offering plenty of opportunities to reconnect or recalibrate busy minds.
"A gorgeous slice of Vermont to share with others. We felt really fortunate to find this beautiful spot to stay. It's an easy drive to Burlington and you're still nestled amongst the mountains for quick hikes during the day and mind-blowing stars at night"

WE ARE EXCITED TO BE YOUR NEW HOSTS
Our family looks forward to continuing the wonderful B&B traditions established here as The European Artists B&B in 2013 and then as the 14th Chicken from 2017-2022. The previous hosts, Val and Todd, have left us some pretty big shoes to fill. Their kindness and dedication to cultivating this unique space were infectious to us, and we hope to carry on here in our own unique way.
It is our honor to live and work on this portion of the unceded land of the Abenaki people. We are committed to being grateful and respectful stewards of this land during our time here.
